The Witching Hours is an independent booking agency and local Los Angeles promoter dedicated to introducing emerging artists from around the globe, and uplifting new voices in celestial musical realms across genres.
Through personal management, art direction assistance, lineup curation and tour booking, TWH works closely with artists and attendees alike to create inclusive and multi-sensory events that inspire community and expand minds.
Sharing music ranging from dreampop, shoegaze, psych and ambient - to punk, experimental and angular sounds, the focus is music that makes you soar, escape into otherworldly delights and daydream for a while.
Marina Aguerre got her start in 2013 with the Los Angeles DIY scene, booking and DJing under her catch-all moniker The Witching Hours. Constant exposures to new bands revealed a demand for indie promoters; she then expanded the shows to include an independent tour booking and show promotion company with varying degrees of involvement to meet artists’s needs. Working closely with UMAW and The Rising Artists foundation, she has spoken on several panels about the music industry and in spring 2025 hosted a free three-week workshop on DIY booking via Zoom called Go Book Yourself.
During her time at KXLU 88.9FM she served as GM, helping diversify the programming and leading the transformation of their website to its current iteration. Her weekly show, The Witching Hours, served as a crucial discovery platform for emerging rock and ambient artists in the local scene. It ran for 10 years and while ending new recordings in 2023, reruns are still aired regularly. When joining dublab in 2019, her experience expanded to experimental physical media with her monthly installation, Centrifugues. Her love of radio as a medium continues further; she has also guest DJ’d on The Lot, KEXP, KCHUNG, Hyde FM, Moon Glow Radio and Not Real FM.
Forever finding ways to get involved in music, her passion naturally progressed to the creation of her solo ambient project, Dream Crease, which launched in 2019 with her debut album. Since becoming more active in the project, she has toured the US and Japan and has made two appearances at Bonnaroo thanks to dublab’s partnership. In 2025 she scored the indie film “El Rebote” starring Jim O’Heir. She has also provided featured vocals for Marco Benevento, Spaceface, Mating Ritual, and writes and plays in her own band Teal Pop.
With over a decade of collaborative and community work, Aguerre truly has a unique perspective on the music industry from both sides of the mic.
